Description

One of the geysers in the Midway Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park. This whole area of Yellowstone was amazing. There were so many geysers, so many colors, so many smells and a lot of heat from the steam. :) The photo does no justice to the actual colors of these amazing wonders.

Another photo from this day.

You nailed this shot 100% right freaking on!

Exposures on bright days is tough enough and then, throw some hot steam into the mix and it makes it even harder. You exposed every single part of this photo correctly and it shows through the amazing detail that the scene shows. You've got nice shadows and nice highlights.

Your depth of field is rock on as well. I like that the trees in the background are slightly out of focus. They should be. The subject of this image was the gyser and the surrounding water scene and that all is in nice focus.

Your saturation levels are all spot on. Its often tempting to make these bacteria filled waterways really bright but you make this photo feel just like one would see it with their eyes.

Honestly, there is nothing about this image I would change. If this is what the rest of your 2,600 images are from Yellowstone, we're all in for big treat.
