Cropping update*****
I attempted to crop it tighter, but when I did, you could see the eye was out of focus and I really didn't want that conveyed in this photo. Especially since I wanted this as a silhouette in the beginning. I know its not one of my greatest accomplishments in life....it will @ some point make its way 2 scraps.
I was sitting on the couch one day working and I looked out and saw this girl just wandering on my porch. She was pretty calm about the whole picture taking deal and although I didn't get that close, I got much closer than I thought I would. Yay for zoom! I'm almost 100 % sure this is a female because she wasn't flirting with me unlike her male counterparts would be doing. My original thought for this photo was a silhouette, but her details came out to good for me to make them fade out. Tell me what you think.
Oh yes, and I just cropped it and messed with brightness and contrast in CS3. I'm not really good with photoshop and when I messed with curves, it didn't really do much. Let me know if I should have played with it further. Thanks.
Nice capture overall. Focus is a bit off on the reptile [more on the wall] Would look at cropping the photo differently. To much white space around overpowers your subject. Keep up the good work!

I downloaded the photo and did a drastic crop with less than half an inch of white on either end of her so that you could count her (six) ribs and see her unblinking eye and she looks great. I did not fiddle with contrast or brightness to make her sharper. I have always cropped tight on any subject and left most of the background vanish unless I needed it to set a location.
can you forward it to me please? subtlyuniqueone@yahoo.com. I would love to see it. i know it could have been a little more focused, but i totally loved her ribs and eye too!
